Hydro Engineering's Autoblaster, automatic screen reclaiming

For over 40 years, Hydro Engineering Inc has provided and serviced screen reclaiming equipment to over 2,500 screen printers.  Our products include;  Hydroblaster pressure washers, Hydrobooth backlit washout booths, Hydrokleen water filtration systems and the new Autoblaster automatic screen reclaim system (ARS).

Our customers encouraged us to develop an automatic screen reclaim system using our proven screen reclaim technology.  Our design criteria was clear.  The system needed to be simple to operate and maintain, safe for operators use, and it needed to be affordable, even for start up companies.  Autoblaster/ARS automatic reclaim system meets and exceeds all goals!  Since March 2021, we are closing in of 50 Autoblasters delivered!

This design incorporates a conveyor drive system moving screens up to 25” x 36” at 1" per second. When a screen is placed on conveyor, it moves through the Autoblaster/ARS where high-pressure water jets clean both sides of screen simultaneously.

Screen reclaiming is no longer the worst job in screen printing!

The Autoblaster/ARS comes to work everyday.  Visit us at booth 717 and be prepared to be amazed!

    The compact design provides a safer, simpler and extremely cost effective tool for reclaiming screens...

  • ARS RECLAIM PROCESS:

    After ink is carded out at the press and tape is removed from frames, follow these steps for reclaiming screens;

    1. If you are using a dip tank; use the 2 in 1 emulsion softener/ink remove and allow to dwell.
    2. If you spray you chemistry; apply emulsion softener (do not apply ink degradeant) as the ARS removes emulsion and ink in one pass.
    3. If dehazing is required, apply and run through ARS.

    Each pass takes about 30 seconds and 2 passes completes the reclaim process.  Screens are cleaned of ink and emulsion simultaneously.  There are no chemical tanks accumulating waste product requiring constant cleaning and product disposal.  When screen is placed on conveyor, it moves through the Autoblaster/ARS where high-pressure water jets clean both sides of screen simultaneously.
